RO and NF Antiscalant

Pretreat Top 0100 is broad spectrum antiscalant controlling calcium carbonate, silica, iron, and 

all slightly soluble salts that would form scale in its absence. It protects membranes 

from inorganic foulants even when these are present in high concentrations. Pretreat 

Top 0100 does not react with other treatment chemicals such as coagulants. This product 

has greatly reduced operating costs by eliminating the need to inject acid, and extending 

the period between membrane cleanings. Because of its effectiveness, 

Pretreat Top 0100 has also lowered capital costs of reverse osmosis (RO), and n

anofiltration (NF) systems by increasing membrane lifetime. Due to the success of 

Pretreat Top 0100, it continues to displace 

older water treatment technologies and competitors products.

Application:

Pretreat Top 0100 is injected upstream of the high pressure pump and cartridge filters. 

If frozen, may be thawed and mixed before use. Stability is excellent, but best used within 12 months.

Dosing Recommendations:

Pretreat Top0100 is a work horse product that can be used on almost any water without 

needing to pay for a water chemistry report. For small systems treating less than 100 gpm

feed, we suggest a 5 ppm dose to begin. Pretreat Top -0100 is also an excellent choice 

for larger systems with good pilot test results or stable operating history.
